All of us live within structures—our days shaped by jobs, families, ideologies and laws. With its images of lightning, fire, and bodies falling from the sky, the Tower card makes clear: What has long stood is coming down. In this 2-hour writing workshop, we’ll begin by familiarizing ourselves with the traditional meanings of The Tower card in tarot, including where it falls in the rebirth arc of the Third Line. We’ll write into our relationship with destruction, revolution, and disaster, the messy crumbling of the status quo, the sweeping out of what is no longer for us. We’ll identify the places our journeys have swerved suddenly and wholly—the dawning understanding that there is no way back. And we’ll touch on the page the strange quiet that lives inside a Tower season: the clarity, clearings, and awakenings that point us toward what is more authentic. Toward what comes next.

Despite its intensity, the Tower wants us to see: Starting over can be the truest gift.
